• Overall of 15+ years of experience and minimum of 12+ years hands-on experience as a Oracle DBA. Experience dealing with multiple complex, critical systems is expected.
• As the DBA Manager, you will be part of a team that architects, develops, and supports databases for mission-critical applications.
• You must have experience managing and leading a team of Database Administrators through all phases of database implementation & Support
• You will be responsible for managing the administration of multiple complex 7 X 24 production systems in addition to multi-server development and testing environments.
• You will also have other responsibilities for creating tools, processes and implementing 3rd party tools to ensure the database system's effectiveness, reliability, availability, security and recoverability.
• Experienced management of Database Administrators Primary Oracle, secondary MS-SQL & knowledge on other flavors of database ( MongoDB,Sybase & Postgres).
• This includes DBA task and time management, project planning, understanding application lifecycles, production support requirements, and data security policies.
• Experienced Database Administrator for UNIX and Windows environment. Experience should include installation of these databases, supporting the databases in a production environment,
• Administering multiple DB server environments including High Availabilty Features like RAC, Data Guard, Cluster configuration and Always-ON setup
• UNIX experience should include scripting for the automation and streamlining of day-to-day database administration, as well as the use of UNIX system commands to create, administer and monitor database systems.
• Enhances the effectiveness of database tools and services.
• Proper impact assement done for any changes moving to production, including CR approvals.
• Ensures that changes done to the database systems follow an agreed workflow and are tracked systematically
• Ensures that high availability of databases is maintained all the time
• Ensures that DR procedures are up to date and fully tested for all critical systems
• Ensure regular required maintenance for databases is being performed to maintain a healthy environment
• Ensures that information is backed-up, secured, and protected
• Assures that all data complies with legal regulations
• Reports regularly to top management teams
• Monitors database performance and improve the technology
• Builds new databases and troubleshoots issues
